ok ladies and gentlmen, i realized how much a nice ol' trailmaster lift kit is gonna cost me, i decided to go the cheap and easy way for some lift. Ok here we go, i want to get f-150 coil spacers up front and some shackles in the back for a nice little 1"- 1 1/2" lift. Then i want to go with a 3" body lift for some added tire room. Does anybody know if all of this will allow me to fit the BFG MT/km 33x10.50R 15 tire???? And also how will this affect my alignment and steering?? i know i'll have to get it aligned after i do it but are there any major problems associated with a lift like this?????

I run 33x12.50x15 with the same combonation as you want to do. I had to trim my fenders alittle bit to keep the tires from rubbing. I think you should be fine with the 10.50's. Yes you will need to get an alignment after words. You may need to get the superlift 3 degree camber bushings to get it aligned within specifications. I had to get them. Your steering maybe alitle sticky with the 3 inch body lift. Mine is alittle sticky but I really don't notice it anymore. I have had My explorer lifted like this for some time now and have had no problems with sofar. I hope this helps you out some.

Sweet, your running 33x12.50''s!! thats awesome, i was thinking on running that but was concerned about tire rub and i didnt know that size could fit. How much did you have to trim off so it wouldnt rub??? and also what shackle brand are you using???

and still another question: are you running your stock shocks or an aftermarket brand??

I really don't know the exact amount that I trimmed off the fenders. I just kept trimming till the didn't rub anymore. If you have the stock plastic molding you will have to remove that. I have the warrior shackles they cost around 50 bucks. I am also using aftermarket shocks the same length as the factory ones. Everything works fine for me. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

thanks for answering all my questions, its been really helpful. Ok, but i got one more question, how well does it articulate out on the trail, do you use it for the trials or just some mud boggin'???? or both??

It does pretty well on the trail and in some mud. You would get alot better articulation with a suspension lift but I like it and it has been alot of places and done some hard trails. Click on the link to see a pick of it on the trail.

Joe Hey I remember that!!!!

I too am running the same combo but without the trimming, I guess it just depends on the tire and the vehicle for that other inch or so. Anyway I never had any problem with my steering and still haven't aligned my truck and it has been this way for over a year, but I do have to rotate the tires quite often DEFINATELY ALIGN YOURS THOUGH!
