I have a 1994 Ford Explorer 2wd. I bought a Skyjacker 4 inch lift kit about 6 months ago and ever since I have put it on, it looks like the springs have sagged up front. I have heard that skyjacker makes really soft springs. Now, I am having so much of a problem that it is making my tires flare out creating uneven wear.
my tires look somewhat like the illustration below.
//-==-\\.

I was wondering what I should do. I had considered 2 options.

1. Coil Spring Spacer- But I could not find any manufacturers of any...anyone know of any. I think I would need about 1 3/4 inch to level it out.
2. Or, should I buy new springs for the front, if so, does anyone know where I could get just the springs.

If anyone could help it would be great...
Thanks

any manufacturer of lift kits will sell you just the springs, but normally you need to call and ask for them... few have them listed in their catalogs.....
you can browse the for sale forum and see if anyone is selling some used ones

try daystar coil spacers from www.flexplorers.com talk to hank ..... or go to ford and get the f150 coil seats for $30

I had the same problem, my springs had sagged and the front sat lower than I wanted it to. I just installed a 2" lift kit from skyjacker to fix the problem. It was around $200 and came with new coils for the front and add-a-leafs for the back. I am happy with it.
