ya i hate online bs'ers....

So you guys are saying the oil breather is bad. I thought it was drawing air through the intake tube anyway, so this would just filter it and "look cool" more than anything else.

I don't have my breather hooked up. My ex runs better with out it. Smoother idle, a little more power and I think better gas mileage but I'm not sure on that one.

so whats the final verdict?...oil breather filter or no oil breather?...benefits? of either? im prolly gunna either make my own intake outta drainpiping or get wunna these ifab deals...so what should i do with the oil brether?

its a smog thing , it reburns the crank case gas as it gets sucked through the intake . if you do not hook it back up to the intake tube , it will not do any thing to the truck, but it might not pass a smog test..

I would love to do the pvc piping thing but for somereason it looks like the 3" tubing will cause height issues with the hood closing. Right now my stock tube has holes in it (it touched one of the pullys and it wore through) and sits on top of the fan shroud and doesnt look like there is much room between there and the hood when closed, I might be wrong but I dont want to go buy it and close the hood to hear CRACK. Thanks for the answers in advance, Jon

It seems to me if it fits one 1994 Ford Explorer XLT it should fit another 1994 Ford Explorer XLT. Are your fan shroud and radiator all stock? I guess I'm not sure why it wouldn't work. I have a body lift which does help a bit... I guess that could make a difference.

that lift blocks thing still gets me man..haha..i meen i dont wunna make funna whoever kuz im not the expert either...but thats pushin it lol..maybe he had SOA?! lol who knows?

EXPORERANGER I posted this earlier "Ok guys, I did find an elbow that will work to attach an oil breather. I'm not even sure what this thing does for the truck, but it looks cool, and they make the blue color that matches the intakes from MAC of IFAB, or red to match the filters themselves. Anyway, I went to Advanced Auto, and by the misc. parts wall I found a product made by a company called HELP!. The part is a 5/8"" Heater Hose Elbow and the part number is 47062. I utilized a small piece of the current hose to help connect.I looked in the same area and found metal clamp connectors that worked perfect, and something called a rubber bypass cap that I used to cap off the hole coming off the intake tube. Anyway, if anyone wants to see, I'll post some pics."
