I have a 99' Explorer XLT with the SOHC engine. When I start my X for the first time in the morning it stalls and the idle is very rough. But once it has warmed up to the normal operating temp the idle is fine and it runs great. What gives? help is always appreciated. happy holidays.

Here is the link to your problem. Get the 00M12 done.

Hey Mike thanks for the reply. My truck has about 54000 miles on it so I'm gonna try and have the dealer replace the o-rings. Should I just tell the dealer the problem I am having is covered under ONP 00m12? Dealers can be a pain in the you know what , especially if you go in their not knowing much.

Describe your problem as you did in your post. Mention to them that you read that the ONP program 00M12 is suppose to fix that problem.

They may give you a run around about having to prove the problem but they will fix it. Every dealer is well aware of this problem but they will all blatenly lie and tell you it's the first they have heard of it. It must be the first lesson in the dealer handbook.

If they give you to much problem call Ford direct and talk to a Service representative and get them to call your dealer.

Good Luck,
mikeh
