Compatibility between 99 and 06 Explorer head units

Hello all,
Newbie here...will a stock Mach head unit that came from a 99 Explorer that originally also had the 6 disc cd unit with it as well be compatible with a 06 Ford Explorer? Have someone interested in my old unit since I replaced mine with an aftermarket and I told them I'd ask so I thought if ask the pros...you guys. Thanks for your help in advance.

Wiring is different and form/size is different. If you can do custom it would work but at that point just get a double din nav unit and install. It would be easier/same amount of money.
