My a/c has not been working (blowing cold air) since I can remember on my '98 SOHC. The compressor will still come on and off when I turn the a/c on or turn the air to cold. I got a refil thing of 134a from the store today with a guage and follwed the directions on the back. The needle was in the green until the compressor turned on. Anyways now when the compressor is off the needle goes into the red until about 100 and then the compressor kicks on and it drops down to the blue. Then the compressor turns off and the pressures goes right back up and continues the whole loop of up and down. The compressor goes on for 5 seconds and then turns off for around 5 seconds. Any ideas on whats going on?

get you a can of 134a from walmart, just the cheap 7 do0llar stuff, along with a refill adpater, i made mine, and plug it up, let all the freeon in the can go out, like empty, then it should be ready to go, if its not, you got a major leek somehwere

If its cycling.. its either too low or overcharged. Ditch those refill kits and get a manifold gauage set and read the pressures as your filling it up.
