could someone please tell me where the computer module is located on a 96 explorer xlt, 4-door, 4-wheel drive,,,thanks

No idea about '96, but in '00 it's located on the passenger side firewall in plain view.

well, i found the computer in the right quarter panel, drivers side, but can't get to it to see if factory code for keyless remote is on it.
