Cone Filter

My friend just bought a cone filter for his 5.0 and it made a big boost in power. I wnet to buy one (3 times) pepboys keep giving me the wrong ones (to small)

anyone know which k&n i need for a 5.0?

You can't just slap a K&N cone filter on. You'll need an adapter to remove the box setup.

Most just go with a MAC setup, which includes a new, wider, pipe.

MAC is temporarily out and has a build date of mid-end July. I have a couple on order that is my current wait. -j

yea it was out of stock everywhere i went so i just cut off the square head that attaches to the air box and just slaped a 3.5in k&n cone on the end.

not as much as a difference that i was expecting but it does the job

Try an Amsoil cone filter.

By the way, the filter will not give you a big boost in power.
