Feel like I'm chasing my tail here. Gf drove off with my car and a block away she calls me, it is dead in the middle of the road it coasted half the block. Acts as if there is no battery int he car. Ford makes you call a tow truck since you can't put it in neutral. (Unknowing how easy it was to pop the linkage off the trans) I figured out that there was zero power due to the ignition fuse #8 in the in cabin fuse box. Blown about 10 of them now.

What ive done: I've pulled the 2amp fuse that feeds the under hood relays and fuses and it still blows #8. I've pulled fuel pump relay and fuse and it still blows #8. I pulled the 50amp starter fuse and still #8 blows. In my mind I ruled out the fuel pump and starter. I pushed inertia switch just in case.

Recent possible issues: It has a aftermarket head unit and sub. (Amp completely disconnected durning repairs) However the other day the radio went black as i had my phone pluged into the usb port. Could this be related? About to go pull that fuse and waste another fuse to see. Also, not recent but it has a remote start. Not had any issues with it. I've also turned it off with a hard switch while repairing.

Please help. I only have my bike and a 79 Lincoln that i dont want to let go over 50k miles. Need my daily!

This video I found was super informative!

Randomly swapped the battery, for no real reason. Just had one there and thought let me try... I had 14 volts when testing so I didnt consider the battery as a problem. It was a little high, but didn't raise any flags to me.

Started right up... internal short apparently.

Leaving this here as I seen this question unanswered on this site and can't find those posts to share.

About to go pull that fuse and waste another fuse to see.

Relevant advice for future troubleshooting: While an option for 2A doesn't seem to be easy to obtain, there exists a "resettable fuse". Can be automatic or manual reset style.

I need these. I thought the whole time, I bet these exist. Thank you sir!

Sooo what I thought was fixed was just the beginning apparently. The vechicle will start right back up but still blowing this fuse with no other issues! I'm thinking this has to be a short somewhere but haven't the slightest idea how to narrow that down to a location. Does EVERYTHING blow this fuse? Any help again appreciated!

Currently running a auto trip fuse(special thanks to comment above) and can start the car right back up. (I'm monitoring heat in this fuse box.) Hoping whatever it is just fails so I can find it!
