I have a 2000 Ford Explorer. While sitting in the driveway overnight, a distinct 'click-click' can be heard under the hood coming from the power distribution box every 2 or 3 seconds. The clicking is coming from the last two relays in the back driver's side of the distribution box, when pulled, the clicking stops. The clicking returns when the relays are reseated. The relays are warm to the touch and the battery is almost completely drained in the morning after this activity continues all night long making it difficult to start the vehicle. The clicking continues when the vehicle is running.
Does anyone know where I can find what those relays are for? Does anyone have any idea what electrical system is stuck in this loop and draining power constantly?
