Ok here's the quick and easy last spring: Oh something is wrong with the suspension.. looky looky oh-k the Driver control arm (I believe its called, goes from the driver hub/ I-beam to under the drivers feet) The bushing was starting to split and lost some pieces doesn't look the same compared to passenger... ok Np stock factory rubber sux I'll put in good Neopreen... go to the store get the new neopreen kit new nuts washers and that hard black ring piece for both sides... tare apart the front end replace front shocks... well more like cheap chinese pogo sticks and bolt everything back together notice abit of "damage" to D's side and some ovalling in that cross member brace... now I look under my truck today bleeding the clutch and brakes and the Passenger side is vertually doing the same... Black hard piece is gone and just busshings are left drivers looks good ie brand new... the passenger side has been hitting the washer on the cross brace and dinged like the Drivers was and its moving and ovalling the Cross brace ..... what happened?? I don't wheel that hard or Often... any help or advice?? also what the hell holds these suspenssion pieces in place... I can see these arms holding the suspenssion FROM going Forward but nothing holds it FROM going BACKWARDS... do you need to tighten this up a certain way?? I will replace the crossmember brace when I do my lift but I hope I can resolve this issue I can't rebuilt my suspenssion every 6 months this I-beam is a pain in the *ss k thanks

Are you referring to the radius-arms, the radius arm bushings and the brackets?

umm yes that sounds right!

Man with all due respect the whole crossmember rivet idea is stupid all those people wasted time removing it I just ripped apart my Ibeam front end and did the repair but I did basically what they all did and mine wore out again... do they have to be tightened a certain way?? like some trick?? cuz I just tightened them up and they haven't loosened off and they are both the same tightness just the passenger is wrecked again

how close is the exhaust pipe to the bushing? i put an aluminum heat shield in mine, held in with stainless hose clamps.

There is "supposed" to be a heat shield for the passenger side bushing.

Personally, I like the rivot method.. Take a few extra minutes the first time but from then on its really quick.. Also makes it easy to fix/replace the RA brackets as they can get caught on rocks when wheeling.

well its all stock config so I donno there is quite a bit of space heat isn't an issue its almost like there is too much play in the front end ie the wheels physically move front to back some what which wears out the bushings and parts and breaks them down?! does this sound possible or correct or happen to any one?? nothing looks loose as far as the front end looks the wheels don't move around that I notice and I put it up on the hoist quite often and give it the go over checking all parts for movement and play so this beats me?!

The RA Bracket your talking the Cross member that the arms bolt into? I will have to replace mine now there is wear in it the holes aren't round any more they are starting to oval with all these problems... does any body sell these I'd rather not rip them off of a junk yard special... also looking for I-Beams but those I will most likely save the money and get from the yard

heat shouldn't be a problem if you live in edmudchuck during the winter. lol

Yes, those brackets are still available (at least recently).

check with fastpartsnetwork.com (a vendor here).

the RA bushing and RA itself should not move for/aft. There are axle pivot bushings that can also wear out but even with them wore out you should only see movement at that bushing end.

I read again what Camburg supplied in their kit sounds like they provide the crossmember and pivot boxes so I don't have to worry about buying a new one I will just wait for my lift and hopefully my suspension holds out in the meantime.... then replace it all
