OK here is the problem. Here in vegas on the freeways they cut grooves into the road surface when i drive over these parts of the road my truck gets pushed back and forth from left to right. I have to fight to keep the truck in the lane. Does this have anything to do with the control trac system. I have never had a car with control trac so i'm not sure. Truck drives great any other time no problems

Nah, sounds like a tire size. I know with my Navajo catches grooves in concrete, and my wife's little escort doesnt. I don't have control trac, but as long as your not getting any wheel slip, your Auto 4x4 shouldnt be kicking in.

usually this is a tire issue. I once had some "fabric radials" (this was AGES ago) that were undriveable on certain grooved streets in Boulder Colorado.... so for my response... tires. relax.

Are you even suppose to drive around with the control trac on unless the pavement is wet?

'97+ you are always driving with the control trac on (Auto mode).

As stated in your other thread (please don't double post), what happens is normal and is not related to the auto 4x4 at all. Tires will follow the grooved pavement. The grooves are not straight. My car and my Ex both do the same thing when I drive on grooved pavement or open metal bridges (no pavement, just metal deck with square openings you can see below thru)
