Control Trac problems?

I noticed with I start slipping my control trac will kick in but it seems like all it does is kick in and then turns right back off... then the next time i slip it will just kick in and back out again.. seems to me like when im slipping it should at least stay engaged for a little bit to ensure no more slipping.. what's up with the constant on/off with the control trac.. this normal?

Normal. The system responds quickly when it determines the wheels are slipping and turns back off quickly too. I have used the scan tool to watch it and the power ramps up and down within a second or two even when I purposely made it slip.
