Where the top radiator hose on a 5.0 goes into the elbow is the thermostat right??? Well I have a leak coming from the hose, not a hole but it just seems it has so much pressure building up that its leak from around the connection. I noticed it a while ago and took the hose off and cleaned the connection and put the hose back on and screwed the heck out of the hose clamp but it is still leaks very slowly. My temp gauge never really goes over 1/4 but then again it could be broken because one time I had a leak in a hose and lost a lot of coolant and it never went over a 1/2 on the temp reading until it went down guessing because it started reading the air moving through the engine instead of liquid. Do the 5.0s usually run colder than normal? But main question do you think the thermostat is going bad or something bigger to cause that???

Got a pic if nobody knows what i am talking about??
