Just got my 96 on the road and i noticed the temp gauge ranging back and forth. so popped the hood a while later and the upper radiator hose was flat. S i went for another quick ride and opened the hood while running and started to open the radiator cap, had fluid come out at me and it was not even hot then it started to go into the overflow and when i looked in the radiator it looked pretty empty. hoping someone has some ideas on this.

Park it with the front up higher than the back and let it cool down. Take off the cap and fill the radiator 3/4 full and start it. After it gets warm, the thermostat should open and the fluid in the radiator should go down. When it does add to it. It may take a whilefor it to circulate and get the air out.

If it doen't circulate you're going to have to pull the thermostat and make sure it's opening.

ill try that and let you know the results thanks

I just had the same problem. I replaced the cap and it resolved the problem with the collapsed hose.
