Did a search, I couldnt find the answer. I did find one thread asking the same questions, but it didnt lead to an answer!

95 xlt 4x4 with 94,000.

After engine warms up, where should the rpms be at? RPMS are between 800-1000 at idle. Is this normal?

Sounds a bit high, but I could be wrong!?

Thanks

That sounds normal to me.

ya normal-in my experience at least-i idle ~1000

Normal for the OHV in gear is usually considered 700-800. In park or in cold it will idle higher. It will also idle higher if the computer detects a rough idle at a lower rpm, oh and it will idle higher with the AC compressor on.

Thanks guys

All is good then! :)

Mine idles at 650-700 rpm

manual tranny vehicles have a lower idle than auto tranny vehicles. Usually by a couple hundred RPMs.
My Bronco2 w/ 5-speed manual idles at 700-800
