Hey new here and need help,
Anyone have sugestions for a bouncy ride? 38,000 miles and am thinking of new shocks and or some suspension upgrades. Looked for some better shocks rather than plain old replacements. Any thoughts out there? Thanks.

Welcome to this forum! I've renamed your thread, and moved it into the 2001-2004 Sport Trac section. Gabriel makes nice shocks for a good price. There are other shocks on the market that are more expensive. What price range do you have in mind?

Fast reply thanks, price isn't really an issue, put monroes on my 97 explorer and wasn't impressed.

Gabriel makes air adjustable shocks called Hi-Jackers for the rear. They are pretty good. You could look into other brands like KYB or Bilstein if you want to compare. Check WWW.RockAuto.Com. We have a coupon code on our site for them. They are a vendor. The product review section has feedback from our members on other brands.

I put Bilsteins from shockwarehouse.com (they are a vendor here) on my '04 Sport Trac at about 26,000 miles, as the stock shocks were already toast, and couldn't be happier - the difference was startling ;) . I had also looked into putting an Explorer Express X-Spec rear sway bar on the truck, but still haven't quite gotten around to doing that since I'm 1200+ miles away from the truck right now. :(

Thanks. Second reply with a distributor being a vendor here. Do we get a discount or what?

Apparently I'm not too bright.....wheres the vendors section????????

I say some bilsteins or rancho's. Both are very reputable.
