could i do better for the money?

that might be a little overkill in my opinion.
i normally just disconnect the negative and let it sit for 30 mins then start it up and let it idle for 10 mins then drive it around for about 15 mins. its worked just fine for me thus far

update

ok it's been alittle more than a month now and i wanted to give my own update.

1) performance is actually about the same before the mods, the truth is that i just find myself hittin it harder to hear the sound, i truly feel the performance is bout the same.

2) gas mileage - same if not worse - cause i'm hittin it often

3)gonna continue to try additional "cheap mods" ie:
a)homemade cold air induction tube & ram-air appx cost $25 (bought stuff to start buildign this weekend)
b)transgo shift improver kit appx cost $17 (ordered 2day)
c)150spacers & warrior shackles appx cost $75 (ordered both today)
d)maybe a 2" body lift this summer

TSTONE, you hit the nail on the head man. You don't really get performance increases or gas mileage increases with all the "extra" stuff on the 4.0 OHV. The only thing that I can think of that will give extra power is an exhuast and intake, and that's only on the high end of the RPM spectrum. I am undecided about the chips yet.......

Also, there is no subsittute for proper maintenance.

TSTONE, make sure that you post a reply once you've done the custom intake and tell lus how it goes. And take pictures too. I'm gonna do the same to my truck and would like to see how others have done it. Not too many pics posted on that topic.

TSTONE, how is that shift improver kit working for you? where did you buy it from?

thanks

-mike

i haven't installed it yet, hope to soon, as for buying it , i went to http://www.txchange.com/order.htm

i've used transgo kits before and they seem to work well, unfortunately the directions with the improver kit kinda suck, so if you're unfamiliar with installing shift kits i would recommend you take it to a trans shop and pay to have it installed
