As far as the drop keys installed them about a month ago, droped the front 4.5 inches and thats with 5.0 awd system. i have the same drop height in the rear, with 3'' lowering springs and 1'' block, plus the .5'' factory sag. lol so its even.. and yea they are safer then the flip..... with a flip u run the chance of it sliping... and trust me u dont want to do that.....so go with the keys.... u will be happy. then sell ur factory keys to a guy who wants more lift in his chevy 1500.......the ford keys are commonly used for thqt. there clocked different then the chevy's.... i put them in my brothers truck. gave it about 2 more inches..... good luck, n nice truck

that truck looks nice, as far as the torsion flip being unsafe, i say its about as unsafe as buying any product from AIM industries, if its done properly it is not un safe. that is make sure you notch the key or use a drill bill like i did so there is a bowl for the bolt to sit in, as far as me knowing whats safe and whats not, ,my truck when on the lift there is no pressure on the torsion bars, i can use my fingers on the t bar bolts, the keys are flipped and backed all the way out. and i still drive it all them time, knowing that im fine,

well as far as aim, ive used the product for years on my ranger without a single problem. but hey, im not promoting them, just sayin there available, and i was happy with them. hard to mess up a block of steel.... same with there leaf springs.... AIM and not a single problem.... i heard thay just have a bad rep as far as airbag brackets...... and lines and fittings...... i heard alot about that. but hey..... to each there own...... but yes if you do make a big enough bowl in your factory keys... there shouldnt be a problem with slippage..... of jus so u guys know...... im sure u know that the driver's side goes down farther then the pass side by like 1.5 inches right? wanna sove it? buy a torsion bar from the junkyard for the driver's side, make sure u get the same stiffness rating.... and just put it on your pass side.... sounds stupid. but belive me, it will sit level with both bolts out.... maybee off by 1/8 of an inch.... with full tank..... FYI do what u want with it.

Also thinking that after you go so low they usually have a hard time getting it alligned... I had mine below 3" and they couldnt get it alligned after the key flip... So now I am setting at about 2.5".... Good luck and looks nice...

yea the camber was a beeootch to get right. jdm drop arms for a ranger, and a little custom work and my camber is within factory spec.... dont ask me how they did it. it was done at a hot rod an clasic car shop..... thats what he said he had done.... next thing on the list is airbags.... already have the notch in the rear, and the body cut away in the hatch......goodluck with everything you do.

so you used the ranger upper arms? i was thinking aobut doing that my self to help a little bit

thanx guys for your input on this . I've been toyin with tha option of buyin those drop keys an havin a shop do em , just cause i tool around town with tha wife an kids , so safety is definitely an issue here, although i have talked to draft, and he offered to do it for me , figured that'd be my best bet as far as knowin sumone who knows what they're doin. As you can see he put up tha how to thread. so I'll see what happens . And yea i"ll be having the alignment taking care of pretty soon , good lookin out on that, thanks fur yur help ...... peace out!!!

tell me more on the ranger arms? much fab work?

well as far as the fab work im not sure.... i know the balljoints didnt fit proberly, so there was some welding going on there. the shop did mine.... they fit them and welded for 200 bucks..... well worth it, the camber is fixed with room to spare...... i need to see if a ranger spindle can be fabbed to fit. then ill be great......
