couple things wrong ?

hey all, After just getting my vehicle back from the shop after they replaced my FPR i have another problem. I remember when the FPR started giving me ****, my vehicle did the same thing it is doing now. when i am in 1 2 3 gear, and i press the gas all the way down, it seems to "skip" or go forward and then slow and then forward then slow, btw this all happens fast cause i do speed up, but i have also notcied i have extremly lacking pickup speed, the truck has no balls on it. its a 5spd standard, 4.0 liter, 237 000 km on it, no upgrades. anyone have any ideas wha ti can do do assess the problem ? or fix it ? any response is great thanks . also its a '91

Hmmmm. Here are a couple of simple ideas:

(1) Fuel filter is dirty?

(2) Fuel injectors dirty?

(3) This sounds stupid, but bad gas? Maybe try filling up at a station other than your usual one (preferably a major brand that has detergents in gas). I don't know about Canada, but here in Colorado, they often have 10% ethanol in gas to help emissions. That seems like it might make your gas more likely to pick up water (esp. in winter) which also might cause hesitation under hard acceleration.

Did you change the O2 sensor bad FPR will screw a O2 sensor. Mine did and the computer went goofy. Good luck
