Cracked radiator??

So the other day i went off roading in my 97 Explorer XLT AWD and when i got to my buddys house I saw all the radiator coolant leaking out. So the next morning I replaced the coolant and drove it around some and there was no leak. But once I start driving it every time I accelerate my truck starts to sound really loud. Like a diesel engine. What could this be??
