I have a 92 ex EB with 143,000 miles, I just bought it about 2 months ago and it came with Gold Runner LT shocks, they are really rusty, I mean you can still see that they are white but they have rust spots all over them. Theres a lot of body roll when turning left at an intersection, if i go the slightest above like 20-25ish or maybe 30 mph while making the turn everyone in the truck slides to one side. but if i go slower it doesnt happen. Call me stupid if i am going to fast while turning but, you should be able to go a normal speed while turn not 10 or 15 mph. It does it while getting of the highway on the on exit ramp, I slow down to the exit speed like 25 mph before i get to the ramp and maintainn that speed while turning on the ramp and it leans a lot, it makes me feel like like I am going to flip sometimes. And if anyone knows what the roads are like here in Rhode Island and Mass., and their pot wholes, it bouces me all over the place and thats like a slightly bumpy road. Do I need new shocks any advice is greatly appreciated. So for the lengthy post

Check to see if your anti-swaybars are properly installed and attached.

ok, how do I do that I am not very experienced Only 16, lol, What am i lookinig for when i look under the truck

Hopefully someone has a picture of the front and rear swaybars and how they attach on an early X, I don't.

I think I can describe it though. The front bar will hang down on an endlink from the frame on each side. It will attach towards the middle to the front TTB setup I believe. In the rear the bar will also hang down from the frame and attach to the axle in 2 points.

My description isn't that good, I know. Look at the rear bar since it's easier to see and figure out. Then look on the front of the truck for something similar. Make sure all 4 attachment points on each bar are good and also the endlinks on the frame.

Hope that helps.

If it is not the swaybars, then it is very possible you need new shocks.

am i looking for play in the sway bars

Yes, you are looking for play. Just jiggle them, they shouldn't move, especially "up or down" at the ends of the bars, where they join the links to the rear axle and front ttb. Also look for worn or missing rubber bushings on the bars and end links (what connect the bars to the axle). While you are under there, check all of the rubber bushings on the truck. Let us know what you find.

At 143k, the shocks may be on their way out. There are many fine replacements, and its a relativley easy DIY job.

I hear Gabriel Gas Ryder VSTs are the best cheap shocks, at olny ~$25/shock. Then you can move up to Ranchos (what i have, and love) or even higher end Bilstiens. Do a search on the board, "What Shock" is a common question around here.
