A dear friend of mine has a 1994 Ford Explorer that has been sittin in his driveway for weeks now. He has owned it since new and it has 118,000 miles on it. He has never had any real problems with it until now.
This guy comes over to look at it (to buy) and we go out to take a ride in it and on a straightaway he guns it. So now, at WOT, it gets stuck and it won't let off. The pedal itself is not stuck, it's the throttle body. Now, whenever you start it up, it goes straight to wide open throttle and you have to shut it right off before the engine blows. Anybody have some idea why this is happening and how it can be fixed before we take it in to a mechanic? Any help is appreciated! Thanks guys!
