Cruise control=Broken

The other day i tried to use the cruise control and it didnt work, but i did find out that if i hold the button down it will work but once i let go it dies which completely defeats the purpose of c c. is this a common problem with a cheap/easy fix?

Could be the switch. This is what happened on my 91 X. Try cleaning the contacts on the switch first. I really doubt it's the servo.

I think its definitely an electrical problem because when i hold the button down it works fine so the switch is where im going to start
