2004 Sport Trac steering wheel switch...Rockauto says Motorcraft number is SW5928 fits my application, but Amazon's fitment guide says it doesn't ...anyone know for sure?
The brake master cylinder switch works OK, and I can't find anything else inop. I get no lights on the dash at any time. Nada. Are the steering wheel switches supposed to be backlit (mine aren't)? Should I get a light on dash indicating cruise is "on" when the On switch is pressed (I don't).
Since mine have never worked - bought used - do you select On first, then Set? Does this turn on dash cruise light?
Since everything else is working that is mentioned in the numerous failure posts, can it be anything other than the actual switch/harness?
Thanks - I've read hundreds of posts with most issues being resolved by the master cylinder pressure switch ...others on switches themselves not completely clear on the troubleshooting process.
