Cruise Control Switch Replacement?

Hello im Kelly. I have a 2003 Explorer 2 DR 2WD 6 Cylinder and i need help in replacing the cruise control switch on the steering wheel. its driving me crazy.

Are you certain its the switch on the steering wheel that is the issue? Our 2003 Ex 4-door XLT 4x4 had cruise control issues. At first blush I also thought it might be the switch on the steering wheel. It would work, then wouldn't, then would. After surfing the posts here discovered there is a safety switch on the master brake cylinder that could be the problem.
Was suggested next time it didn't work to stop, open the hood and give it a "light tap" to see if cruise would work (for a short time) it did for over a week. Then failed again. Already ordered a new switch, so had it on hand. Quick easy cheap replacement/fix.
