I've seen some threads about the bulb underneath the infotainment system that illuminates the cubby there not turning off. I'm not concerned about that. I would like to know if anyone has removed it to replace it and how they did so. Honestly, I would like an LED bulb under there with either white or a teal light to match the rest of the lighting theme in the vehicle. The "soft white" look is seriously attacking my OCD. Anyone know if this is removable and if so how to geter out? I don't want to fish around too much and mess anything up if it's not removable. Thanks!

Welcome to the Forum Ralph.
Unless tha bulb is not listed, the Owner's Manual states all interior lights are LED and are not "serviceable" and to see your dealer if they fail. To me, that sounds like they are not easily removed. No one has posted that they have removed or changed that bulb.

Thanks for the clarification. It annoys me and I'll be covering it with electric tape. Lol. Thanks

The difference is between ambient light or light. My glove box, center armrest box and the one underneath the HVAC controls all have white LED light in them, which is better to see with. The ice blue light and ambient color lights are never bright enough to see very well. Hence why the engineers actually were correct in their decision to use different LEDs for the covered storage compartments.

The light you’re speaking about will turn off 10 minutes after you turn the ignition off.

in my KR, the one in the area in front of the cup holders.... i used a blue sharpie to color over it.... reducing the amount of light and the color. I went over it a couple times to get the lower light output.
