What does a 10 inch sub sound like with that little of air space?
Does anyone have an opinion as to what sub and amp setup would best work in that small of an enclosure?
Can a single 10 in the cubby be heard from outside the car?
Will it produce enough "thump" to be felt in the chest?

Thanks to anyone who can provide me some answers. :)

I know about the enclosures made by Jl and qlogic. i am planning on building my own box to fit in their. I just wanted to know from people who have built their own box how does it sound. Also, any tips on sub and amps for that little of airspace. Any info and opinions would be greatly appreciated. :)

I had a RF 2 channel in the space behind the passenger rear panel powering 1 sub. Then I had another amp in the same location on my 2nd X. Both were great. Not a problem if you get a small enough amp & mount it securely behind the panel. Total stealth install.

Use a Sundown Audio SA 8. Its loud & will use less space.

Thanks for the info guys. Any other references on a good 10inch sub for that location? Also, can anyone give me some feedback as to how they sound and feel. Thanks!!

I have a JL w0 in mine with a 750 watt amp. Hits good and hard for a 10.

I think the sound of the sub is going to depend more on what sub & what sort of box it's in. The location while not perfect will still give decent bass response.
So same box principles would apply. sealed box for a punchy accurate sound. Ported for more of a boom.

isnt 750 Watts a bit much for the W0??

would a RE audio SEx10D4 fit in the opening?
