I keep running into old threads that aren't helpful. Who are the current shops that sell tuners with tunes for our 3v 4.6s?

Id like to also know which tuner has the ability to shut off the intake butterflies?

I use an STC ITX from 5 Star tuning and had excellent results. Although I highly recomend you get an SCT4 and NOT the ITX. The ITX is very, very slow to tune the truck and changing tunes quickly is simply not possible.

I used Brenspeed and 5star tuning for mine. I prefer the 5star 91 hands down. You need to listen for pinging on the first editions of your tune and tell them when it happens should it do so. Depending on maintenance at this point you may encounter that. I had performed a complete stage 0 beforehand.

It will allow you to run octane levels above 87 such as 91 or 93. The higher the octane the greater the gains. I'm not exact on the numbers but something like 87/8hp, 97/12hp and 93/15-18 hp increases. As well as near instant throttle response vs the sleepy stock setting. You can adjust shift firmness but I left mine alone Not much else apart from that but it definitely improves power all over the rpm range (not dramatic) but think more mustang gt style engine tune. If you have any aftermarket exhaust you'll get a better sound as well. I may never go back to stock and I daily on my 91 tune without a hitch. Unlike the other small mods, you will feel the difference with this 100%.

I'm lookin for a tuner as well. Was thinkin of a Diablo Trinity. Would this be a good choice for a '15 Sport ?? Gonna buy a CAI very soon as well.

Checkout SSI Tuning if you have an ecO boost and SCT has more tuning options than Diablo.
