Will my 5.5" superlift springs work with my 4" rough country drop brackets and pitman arm?

Also looking at doing some fender flares, maybe early bronco or cherokee ones would fit? any advice on some that would fit with some trimming?

What gear ratio should i run for 33s or maybe 35s?
I was thinking 4.10s or 4.56s maybe others too..

Any help would be nice.

The typical suggestion is 4.56 or maybe 4.88 for 33's.
Some people (I'm one of them) run 3.73's with 33's... but it is too tall really.
4.10's are better, but it's not a huge gain.
4.56 with 33's would be my suggestion. (advice is free of course. heh)

4.88's are most definitely a good idea for 35's IMHO.

I can't comment on your lift question "officially". My mental geometry says if the drop brackets drop the pivot points four inches (roughly) then you may be alright. I'm thinking about how with factory gear about 2" is max lift before Camber adjusters are a problem.

However, if the drop brackets really only move the pivot points 2-3" inches... well it's gonna be pot luck on that one.

Again, these are "educated guesses", that's all. (!)

I run a full 6" kit on my front end.

Don't forget a drop pitman arm! :)

I run Skyjacker 4" coils with my Rancho 2.5" suspension lift. You would have a 1.5" difference, just like me. If the springs have sagged at all, you'll have less than that. Overall you would be fine, it just may not be able to align perfectly. I haven't had an alignment in years, so I can't remember how close they got it.

I have a 4" drop pitman arm should that also work out?

and what the chances my stock drivelines will work?

The 4" drop arm will be a huge improvement over stock, for sure.

the fa600 drop arm brings my steering arms into nearly perfect harmony on my truck. My 6" springs have sagged a bit I think.

That said, I'm not entirely sure if a fa600 is really 4" or 6" drop - I've been told both things.

Here's a fa600 pic:

when you have your stock arm off to install the new one, PLEASE inspect your steering box output shaft for hairline cracks.
It's totally a fluke I think - but the output shaft on mine broke in two, the result being no steering of course. lol

were I you, I'd go with the 4" arm and see how it works out. I'm thinking it'll be very good, maybe not "perfect", but very good at least.

Oh I almost forgot.

So far as I know, the huge majority runs stock driveshafts with SOA and 6" frontend lifts.

Somehow I ended up with a front shaft out of a 4x4 Ranger that had a Dana 28 front axle. It is a bit (2"?) longer than the stock one from my truck.

either way the axle should be in the same spot and driveshafts would be the same whether i got with soa for the 5 inches or the shackles and new leafs for 5 inches correct?

and iwas just making sure the 4"drop pitman arm would be enough for the 5.5" lift springs. tahnks for all the input its been a great help

No prob, the folks around here sure helped me over the years - it's fitting to pass along what I was freely given. :D

yep, for the rear you should be fine.

For the front (pitman) it should be "close enough for government work".
If anyone else chimes in give 'em a listen tho. heh
