After searching round and round, I'm unable to find a rack I really like. I have sold the 'old' rack I had mainly because it was a square tube one and I want one the has round tube(approx.1") to match the brushguard. It will also serve and a holder for 2 sets of PIAA 80's. I have found the shop that will do it, given them the dimensions, but one problem remains. How to mount it? I didn't/don't have the factory rack system, so I either have to secure it straight to the roof(leaving holes when/if I have to take it off and leaving the possiblility of moisture getting inside. What I'd like is a way to either:
*Secure it in the gutters without holes
*Bolt the 'feet' down, but be able to detach the rack from the 'feet', if necessary.

I also have some ideas for the lights, but gotta work out the details first before I make a fool out of myself. :)

With the requirements you've listed, your best bet would be to get a basic set if locking Thule or Yakima rack bars. Either of these will be specific to your vehicle and lock in securely. You can affix your custom rack to the bars.
Hope this helps...

probably not my place to say, but ...

... the load-bearing capacity of the welded drip rails will far exceed the capacity of any roof mount you may be considering.

As posted, Thule & Yakima both offer respectible mounting platforms, though I suspect that a quick visit to an RV or boat shop (CamperWorld, etc) could net you a few viable gutter feet to for the basis of your mounting
