I have a 2008 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition. I'm trying to get some custom wheels and tires, but I'm not 100% sure that they will fit. I don't have a lift kit on my truck. The stock sizes are:
Stock Wheel: 17X7.5 ET44 offset
Tire Size: P245/65R17
I'm trying to find out if these will fit.
Custom Wheel: 18X9 -12 offset
Custom Tire: 285/55R18
I know height wise they'll fit, but I'm wondering about the rim hitting the wheel well when turning because of the negative offset. I'm figuring they will stick out about 3.7 inches further. I think that they'll clear, but I'd like to be sure before I spend that kind of money.
Any help would be appreciated.
