hi guys,

i dont know how to describe my issue.

i have replaced all 6 sparks, along with new leads from motorcraft.
had a problem, starting the engine due to wrong cable order,, fixed issue ,now the car drives normal, however when put in reverse gear it idles and cut off like crazy... also when driving as long as feet are on gas it is fine until like shutter sound is heard, which i believe is the blower motor, the engine then starts shaking like it is trying to accelearte but bogging, more gas and it is fine again.

any help here guys wouldbe much appreciated...

i am planning on cleanning the maf sensor, removing and fully cleaning the TB, EGR, and IAC.

is there anything else i need to look at while doing this as i do nothave access to a scanner.

TIA

Do you mean a spark plug wire?

Yes. Vacuum leaks , o2 sensors , and clogged fuel filter are some other things that come to mind as well.

I just replaced my spark plug wires 10k miles ago. One of them ended up getting burnt and melted by the exhaust manifold and arching which caused rough idle and , reverse, and accelerating situations.

Thx Mate,

I have already changed all spark plugs, along with their Leads, checked the leads for any burnt outs -> nothing, removed all sparks and inspected them one at a time, no carbon built up.

Will clean the IAC, MAF, EGR, then check and clean the fuel filter and will finally check for vacuum leaks.

Will report back the results.
