im having a problem with my explorer cutting out once it warms up a little bit... at first i thought it was an exhaust problem because the cat sounded kinda plugged so i put a new cat on it then it still had the problem...so next i put a different muffler on it, and it still has the problem. So now im thinking its an electrical problem like a bad distributor or maybe my fuel pump is going bad i have no idea, ive thought about just trying to run a can of 44k through it to see it that helps out but haven't yet...if anyone has any suggestions or has had this problem and fixed it let me know any suggestions are welcome and appreciated

thanks

By "cutting out" do you mean that the engine stops running?

Have you checked the IAC?

no just like a miss kindof... like ill be driving and it will miss or cut out for not even a second then be fine for a minute then do it again and again

Any trouble codes in the computer? Even if the CEL isn't coming on, I could see a scenario like that leaving clues in CM.

Does the fuel pressure drop off when it cuts out?

I'm not sure if there are any codes coming up, there are no idiot lights on... maybe ill take it to work with me and see if they can pull anything off of it. as far as the fuel pressure dropping i have no idea.
