My dad just got a Chevy that took a good dive into Lake Erie. It is a 99 v8 s-10. We did the usual drain oil, diffs, tcase. We removed the plugs and it wouldn't crank.
We Wd40'd the cylinders and drilled a hole in the h pipe, got about 8 gallons of water out. After that it turns over free. It was in the water for about 2 hours but it apears little water got in the gas tank, and in the trans. The trans almost looks like it needs fluid. It was in 4wd when it went in the lake and now the 2wd 4wd and 4lo light blink like crazy. I pulled all the plugs on the 4wd system and they were all clean.
Well I guess I need suggestions on what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
