nice truck, it need the front windows tinted. i just had mine done last week in casselberry fl for 90 bucks.

Great to see a ford family mate, beautiful truck your old man bought.

dont do a dealer remote start. you will get much better performance out of an aftermarket one. not to mention some dealers if its not something they do on a regular basis they send it to an outside shop anyways with a mark up on it.

Thats a great point, I had not thought of it that way.
Id just like to retain the factory remotes.

Thanks guys,
His first Explorer was 1991
second was a 1996 - and he still has it - but rust will be the cause of it being junked this spring.
his third was a 2002 - and he still has it
Now this one will replace the 1996.

I too have a 1996 and a 2004

People have said to me.. Explorers have problems... why do you keep buying them? I reply, every car has problems... and that the Devil you know is better than the Devil you don't!

The dealer will instal an aftermarket one, same if you go to a shop, and you can request the shop to instal an add on that will work with the stock remotes...
But yeah you should send yours to dad, he'll never notice:p:

Nice truck, looks really loaded.
