I just made a post about this yesterday regarding the 40% off discount for the EXACT thing you're talking about. You guys don't read the forum or what?! haha

It's just a few posts from the top but the url of it is here <a href="http://208.38.138.31/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=31437">http://208.38.138.31/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=31437</a>

So far no explorer guys have signed up for the group buy.

Let me put this is simple terms so I can understand..........you mean I can use my home computer to program my X's copmuter like a Superchip????????

If that's true, I'm there!

Nope, I have not been able to get the software and interface from http://www.odb-2.com to program my computer. However, while acting as a code reader, it will also datalog while driving. I've had it since January, and I still haven't gotten to take it to the track since my roommate still hasn't finished porting the heads and making headers for the 302 in his '67 Mustang or taken the 351W for the '67 to the machine shop. Basically, the '67 hasn't had an engine since October due to lack of time.

I don't think there's any unit out there that'll let you reprogram your own PCM is there? Unless of course you spend thousands and get the dealer equip.

jjue, did you purchase this in a group buy? I haven't received one e-mail from any explorer owners yet. In fact the majority are from GTP guys!

Nope, not a group purchase

I bought this on my own in late December 2000, and I received it in early January 2001. (Duh?) Anyway, with my student discount it was under $100. I couldn't beat the price for this one, especially another one that I was looking at was almost $300, but at least the $300 could tell you absolutely everything that I would want to know, such as shift points, transmission line pressure, etc. The $100 doesn't do all of this, but at least at can datalog most of what I really need to know. Truthfully, know line pressure doesn't do me any good since I can't program the computer anyway, unless I find $350 for a Hypertech Powerprogrammer III.
