Okay I will take a half day on Friday so that I can get out before the Dallas traffic.

I say we stay at the local hotel that is mentioned on the Barnwell Mountain website so we can have a showers

I am marking my calendar.

We will probably head out around 5:30 on Friday as well. That puts us setting up camp before 8 (and dark).

What is the campsite like? electric? Showers or is this rustic stlye? Need to know what I'm looking at for the camping area.

I've been looking over the Barnwell Site , and the associated forums (TMTC Forum ) to get more details on camping, cost, etc.

I recommend both, if you've got time to browse.

Camping - $7.50 per tent per night primative, $12.50 per night with electric (Members $5 per tent per night primative, same price for electic)

None of the camp sites have water hook ups. The "RV" sites have electricity.

Unlike SOME places (ahem-shiloh-ahem) they are sticklers for safety. All of their required trail equipment is on Gerald's trail equipment list. If you plan to bring a bike or 4wheeler, read their rules.

From the forums, sounds like everybody and their dog is on channel 4. Good for calling for help. Bad for getting/staying in touch with your group. I think I'll have my CB on channel 13 when I head out of DFW.

I will not be camping this round, I got to go home to the wife who will not be out with us on this run.

I will attend the run, I figure I'll leave about 5 a.m. Saturday morning.
