Dan the Australian G'day!

Yeah, headlights are different too our headlights have a park lamp in them and our turning lamps are on their own, as for the rear ALL Australian cars from late 1960s had to have amber turn signals front and rear except where a clear lense was fitted you can have an amber bulb. I plan on putting the U.S. head and tail lamps in mine because they look better. For the rear blinker I will use a 2 coloured Amber/White LED bulb in place of the single filament reverse globe!

Looking good mate.

Started adding a bit more to the stereo in the form of new speakers and an amp. I went with Cadence Zenith series 5X7 speakers for ease of fitment and they weren't overly expensive. I got a JVC 4 Channel amp that puts out 60w RMS per channel. I was going to put the amp under the drivers seat but it wouldn't fit so its mounted under the centre middle seat.

Just pokes out but can't really see it in the car

Used timber to make the mounts

New speakers, nice and simple, gotta be better than the old paper cones

Looks factory enough

The other thing I have done is swapped over my license plates to STNCLD aka Stone Cold (no relevence to the wrestler).

Better than the plates we get from the DMV!

I have decided I'm going to make a sub box out of craft wood to put in the drivers side (passenger side for Americans on the wrong side lol) where the factory plastic one sits and get a 10" woofer in it, just for a little more kick. My car doesnt have the factory sub box and NO 3rd gens were shipped here to Australia with a factory sub

Couple of weeks ago, a mate got his hands on this little Ford Cortina. Originally fitted with a little 4 Cylinder "Kent" engine now fitted with a 351 Cleveland and C4 Auto. Used the Explorer to go pick it up. The Ex makes a mint car hauler. It loved the work.

Todays effort was a 800Km (500mile) trip interstate to deliver 250-300kgs (600LBS) of catalogues for work. Haven't ever been on a trip that far in the truck since ive had it. She loved it. Averaged around 21mpg or there abouts overall, was very happy with the way she did her thing.
