are the ring & pinion from the rear axle of a jeep dana 35 the same as the front of my explorer dana 35 ifs??
or is my front 35 reverse cut???thanks,

They are totaly different. The 35 in a j##p is a solid axle, while in the explorer it is a TTB. Different bolt patterns and all.
 






no, i know the rears are not even close but im talkin about the gears-ring & pinion are they switchable??
 






Actually, not really.. You can use almost any d35 carrier, spider gears, and locker in the front TTB d35; you just have to be sure to get c-clip or versions compatiable with c-clips.

The gears however, are reverse cut on the front d35. It's also in what's called a high pinion configuration.
 






so if i find a limted slip unit from a j##p could i use the carrier in the front ?
