my best guess is the head light switch. My dash lights wouldnt come on , I didnt check the park lights though, changed the switch and its been fine since.

Ususaly when your tail lights don't work your dash lights don't work either its probably a fuse.

I had the exact problem a couple years ago and it was a fuse ;) I dont remember the exact fuse

i checked the fuses i thought it would be

so unless it was a wierd fuse

It could be the switch. Mine had that problem. I figured it wasn't the fuse because if I jiggled the switch a little by loosening the switch at the dash, the lights would work.

So if it isn't the fuse, time for a new switch.

How is this a 911 problem?

It is probably the switch.

I have the same problem as the DEAN above does on a 2001 Sport Trac. Can some one help me with what fuse it might be? The dimmer switch seems to work still (over head light comes on when I click the switch over) so I think it must be the fuse. I don't have a fuse diagram so I was hoping someone could help.

changed the switch and it fixed everything
thx for the help
