Hello everyone I'm new to these forums,I'm a Chevy man,but my daughter co-signed for a friend and bought a 98 2wd short bed 4cyl w/5-speed.Of course she got stuck with the truck,and now I'm elected to work on it. She had just bought a new car and let the Ranger sit for several months.I'm fairly handy with machinery,but I know nothing about the newer Fords. I'm going to change the battery,and charge it as I know nothing on the newer trucks works without a charged battery.I'm especially worried about the fuel system as the new gas is awful,any suggestions on how to proceed? Thanks.

Are there any specific issues that you're having with the truck? The 4 cylinder 5-speed Rangers are pretty solid generally trouble free little rigs with incredible gas mileage...

Thanks: I haven't had a chance to tear into it yet,I worry about what I will find in the fuel system.A bad tank might send it to the scrapyard
