I would go with all black X with dark grey colored flames. Something that does not attract so much attention but once you look at it closely you start to realize how awesome the paint job is. (not that my vote counts anyways)
i told him to go a completely and totaly different way then any others have gone b4..but we figured that it was gunna cost 6x what he wanted to spend ...woulda been sick though lol
i just cant wait to see the rig all done and polished..gunna be sweet =)
Start the fade into ghost flames right before the front doors.
Rear doors to the back - coming out of flames back into another solid color (white)
Kind of a two-tone paint job, with ghost/pearly flames as a transition point. You could even keep your stock paint job (depending on the shape it's in) and just prep the front end for painting/fading.
I think this was your original idea anyway? And would look better than the ones you've posted.
Though another cool idea would be to go with a Mustang Mach one look. Orange with the black racing stripe down the center of the hood. I know that may not be good for what you want, but I think it would be a cool idea for a racing truck! With my mustang I will be getting I might just do that later on once the engine is pretty much done. I have always liked the looks of those. Then do a few other custom Mach one design adders.
Originally posted by expo5.0 i'm actually liking this one- but i'm gonna try to get the flames stretched out a little bigger so it gets more white on the ride andmakes the wheels look right
This is the closest (that i like). But honestly man, just follow your heart and do what YOU think would be the best FOR YOU. Don't worry what other people think, just do what you want to do. Saleen wheels (that are white especially) are tyght...so IMO stick w/ those definetly.
well this option is not there however i would get jet black like the blackest of the black and 2 silver racing stripes od flames continued down over the rear window and until the bumper i will see if i can get a photshop of what i am talking about
please dont get chrome... chrome is wayyyyy over done. I'm sure you could get your wheels painted w/ a paint scheme to match whatever you choose for the truck.
I think a real dark blue up front and have it lighten up as it gets towards the rear, have the rear end white. I don't like any of those flame designs though. I like the idea of having the whole frong flaming up towards the rear, but have it look like more natural flames and not those fake sperm type flames. So it looks like the space shuttle re-entering the atmosphere, but with blue flames on white. I don't know what number that applies to.
