I am trying to install my new amp and subs to my 99EB with the factory HU, rear controls and rear sub. I know I need a line converter for the RCAs, but haven't had any luck with the wiring, I know I can just put it in the back where the factory amp is but would rather come directly off the HU and use good quality RCAs instead of the small gauge factory wire to the back and then the RCAs. I figured for the best sound it would be better the closer I got to the HU. Any help with wiring diagrams, color codes for sub specific channel, or opinions on how to finish this install, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Also any help with the remote trigger wire would be great.

99EB,
I have the shop manual here, but I don't have scanners or anything like that to show you the diagram. Here's the wire colors and their function:

The subwoofer plug has 10 pins, only 5 of them are used.
(Pin # - color - purpose)
1 - DG/VT - Sunwoofer High Audio Mute(?)
2 - BK/LG - GROUND
3, 4, 5 - NOT USED
6 - LG/VT - Power (Hot all times from fuse #25)
7 - RD/BK - Subwoofer High Audio (-)
8 - BN/OG - Subwoofer High Audio (+)
9, 10 - NOT USED

It looks like the "remote trigger" is the LB/BK wire from the radio plug, pin #5. This connects to the power antenna module and is called "ASYS ON".
I hope this helps, good luck!

If you've got the MACH system...you're outta luck for a clean signal source. I worked on my 99EB for a couple days looking for signal. Let me know if its the MACH system (cd/tape), and I'll let you know how i finished mine.

Thanks for the wiring diagram, looks like that will help. It is the Mach system so any help in this would be greatly appreciated, I'm not looking for competition sound or anything just enough for what I like. If the line out converter is not the way to go please let me know, I was going to do this today but will wait for your replies. Thanks
