Delay and clunk sound when shifting in to Reverse

I have a 2022 Explorer Platinum. Overall it seems to shift fine. But sometimes after driving the vehicle, it has a delay in shifting the transmission in to reverse followed by a clunk sound. I am always careful when putting it in reverse to wait till the transmission has completed the shift. But I am wondering if it is a sign of a future problem. Have others in this generation of Explorer had this issue?
