For a 94 4X4, where is the connector that you plug into with a scan tool in order to read trouble codes. Is it the one in the left hand side of the engine compartment? I can't get a response from that location & I'm thinking it might be for the anti-lock brakes only. I'm using a Ford NGS scan tool & I must be missing the obvious.
Thanks, FJK

It should be somewhere behind your air box, I have a 91 and thats where mine is.. I use a Chaep Scan tool I bought at autozone for 30 bucks, and the plug i use always gives me the right codes. I wish I could find the ABS plug....

Is it in the same place for a 93? What kind of computer is it? Is it a EEC-IV? So i can buy the right code reader
