I ran a 14.26 at 100.02 last Friday at the Seguine Test n Tune.....i am very happy with the explorer these days...

I have not been posting all too much lately but i finally got everthing put in that i have been saving for:

Apten Chip
4.10 Gears
E-Cam and accessories
Mustang MAS and TB
Baumann Shift Kit- Level 4
FMS Headers- full 3" exaust (flowmaster dumped)
125 shot of the juice...hehe

i still have to send the chip back for reburning...i have not had it in since the cam went in....thinking about gettin the flip chip with a nitrous program, then one burned for the motor N/A......

i think that there is now really not that many explorers that can hang with me....it is really really great....i think i am done for awhile...way too much money thrown in in a way too short amount of time....

if this doesn't end up working out, i am thinking about a high compression 306....with a way big cam in it....hehe

wow man.. wat year is ur X? and where did u get the FMS headers and E303 cam????? LateZ!

Stock tires and I'd try ;) I ran high 15s last time I was at that track. 31s, 3.73s, 70 shot, and a 15-30 mph headwind  I also didn't do any weight reduction and had the roof basket installed with the windscreens. Now I'm running about 15.8 with not juice, 33s, and 4.30s.

Congrats! But please limit your sig to 6 lines, thanks.

alec, 15.8??? shouldnt u be a little faster? i mean arent you supercharged?

he's runnin' 33's, no juice!!!! BTW congrats XLT_66.

yes, this is with no spare, no back seat, and no passenger seat, and with a little under a quarter tank of gas.....i think i have finally gotten the exploerer running the way i like it....but faster is always more fun...

Duuuuude.. awesome! Tell me about the cam. Who did it? You??

:D

congrats. if you got the chip set up right you shouldnt have any problems with a 125 shot, you just gotta use some common sense. ;) :D

clarkkent, 300 hp can only do so much with a 4700+ lb truck with 33" tires. That was also with my "billboard" roof basket and about 100 lbs of mud on the truck.

LOL, a wash and wax job would have knocked a tenth off your time. :D

yea, i am planning on waxing the explorer tomorrow and i have already changed over to 36# injectors, but i am awaiting to put in some colder plugs...i am also waiting on the larger fuel pump...

the cam was done by me and a couple friends....we took the e-cam out of a 92 coupe and threw it in to mine with some new springs and rockers, it only had 1,500 miles on it and i got it for $50.00....all of the parts that i have put on i got either from stangnet, corral, or local mustang guys...i got the 75-150 NX kit for $250 with two bottles ran threw it...once i get Robert (92 coupe guy) to port and polish my up and lower intakes and do some work on my heads i'm sure i'll be into the 13s.....gettin there, i've been dormant for so long, but graduation money helps out a lot...everything i have done has happened in the last two weeks....

finally, i'm getting somewhere....

oh yea, i recommend the bauman with a good stall to anyone looking to get off the line with our automatics....it is flat out crazy taking off at 3000 in my car now...first gear is deamed useless....i love it

That is great. I can't wait to see what mine will run. I missed World Ford Challenge this year. Next year I will be there with my EE S/C!

Good job XLT_66,

You are definately running twards the top of the heap. I've read a few people on here stating lots of Hp, but to me it's just "talk" until you back it up with a run.......

I ran a best to date of 13.85@ 98mph..That was with the blower making 6-7psi of boost. Since then I've swapped the E-cam for a more aggressive TFS Stage II and went from a TFS Track Heat intake to a "R" version. I also milled a pully down from 2.5" to 2". It should pump out between 9-12lbs now. It better run in the high 12's this time or I may give up.

Also, what stall did you go with?

P.S I've got a TFS Track Heat intake going up for sale tomorrow. Let me know if you are interested. Dom

b&m 3000 stall....hey, what was you 60'

2.016 60' with a blazin' .886 R/T...I think I need more practice at the lights... Dom

Not bad.

My 60' is 2.2
RT for green light racing is about .85, for a Sportsman tree consistenly at or below .600.

Alec, what are the details of your sponsorship by EE?

I'm not authorized to say much. Basically I "advertise" for them in exchange for some special considerations sometimes. I only advocate products that I know and trust.
