I was driving with this stupid girl on the way back from Jack in the Box, and I looked over and saw a lifted 4 runner. It had a bunch of weird stickers on it, then a really big sticker.

"IFS " with a Big X through it. It almost brought a tear to my eye.

Was that you I saw rolling down Baseline near Lindsay last night around 6:30 ish?

It said the guy doesn't have Independent Front Suspension?

Hell yeah :D

IFS :shoot:

Don't get me wrong I hate my IFS, but it's what I got so I guess I gotta have IFS pride.

Um, what's IFS?

I'm just gonna smile and nod. :D

He's nailed it down. But, it's really Independent Front Suspension. You've got a TTB on your 94. Twin Traction Beams, I think.

one of the 4runners we wheeled with last weekend had a sticker similar to this (i just made this based off what i remember his being). it was like a small 6" rectangle on the side back glass. i thought it was humorous...

On a 94 do I have IFS? Or do I have a straight axle cuz it appears to be a straight axle to me.

Yes you have a form of IFS. More specifically, it is called TTB, or Twin Traction Beam.

LOL! :D

Hey jasonb, can I save that Jeep pic? That's great!!:D

go for it. maybe lizard would make you a decal with it. it was kinda funny on that truck. a little confident, but funny..

Actually I personally believe the the TTB is closer to a solid axle than IFS. RA's instead or torsion bars, no CV joints, etc.

Who said it wasn't? And yes, the TTB is "closer" to a solid axle than an SLA, yet both are IFS and relatively weak when compared to a SFA.
