DID YOU KNOW our trucks shared some body parts with f-150

Did you know the 07-up Trac shared some body parts with the 04-up F150?
Useful info if you want to change some things to aftermarket.

Tail lights, bed hooks, and gas door: 04-up FLARESIDE F150
Third brake light, tailgate handle, all 04-up F150

Yeah, the F-150 Flairside's tail lights look very close to the Sport Trac, but looks like the corner is deeper on the F-150.

But, I would bet the tailgates are the same and the bed extenders are the same.

Bed extenders are not the same, and tailgate isn't the same. Only the handle.

Sorry to revive an old thread and an old question. Looking at getting my third break light replaced - I can get one from an 07 F-150
According to this thread, it will fit, BUT will the 07 from the F-150 leak?
Answer asap please - guy is holding one for me.

From what I understand from my parts man, the 3rd brake light is the same. The issue with the leak,and Ford's fix, was a thicker gasket.

I'm not seeing how the gas doors are interchangeable. I really would like to pick up a black gas door...and they sell them for the 04+ F150 Flaresides...but the lines/curves don't match...
