I have a 98 SOHC that dies a couple times each morning during start-up. It just started doing it since the temps started falling. Summertime it is ok. I'm guessing it might be IAC valve but wanted to get any other input. I cleaned the IAC about a year ago when I replaced my lower intake o-rings.

May be time for new IAC. Also may want to make sure the intake manifold bolts haven't come loose.

I have seen the fuel filter cause this. If enought water accumulates in the filter it will freeze and constrict flow until enough gas goes by to thaw it out. Don't do try and thaw out the filter using any open flames and no I did not try this but there was a story down here about it. There seems to be more water in the gas when the weather turns cold. Possibly the turn over in the storage tanks and the increase condensation???

I too suspect the IAC, Have you tried cleaning it?
